I love swastika. In latvian culture swastika is called Thunder cross.

Swatika has been a symbol of peace for thousands of years. Just a few years of misuse of the symbol by Nazi people should not change our beliefs about this great symbol. Everyone should be educated about the original meaning of the Swastika. Peace!

I love all of these people who know what the true meaning of the Swastika is. It has literally brightened my evening seeing all of these people who don’t instantly associate the Swastika with the Nazis but with it’s peaceful background instead.
I really hope that one day, people will know what the Swastika means and what it stands for in religion.

There’s this man on youtube, called ManWoman; his youtube channel is godmadfool he has been on a “quest” to return the Swastika to it’s former glory. He’s been doing this since 1987 I believe. I’d appreciate it if you looked at his videos, although you don’t have to.
Hopefully, we’ll get the Swastika back. ?

In Chicago the other week, I saw someone riding a bike with a sign being pulled behind it that said “reclaim the swastika,” I was pretty shocked, not gonna lie, but I believe everyone should be able to express their opinion. People were calling him names and giving him horrible looks. I walked up to him, having no idea what “reclaim the swastika” meant, but I told him I respected his opinion. I can’t believe how people treated him when they had no idea what he was even expressing through his sign. Ignorance and hate like that makes me sad. I hope my few words made the guy on the bike feel somewhat supported. I’m glad his sign brought me here so I could be enlightened about what the swastika truly stands for.

I find the human psychological fixation upon symbology fascinating, the issue of the swastika in particular.
The swastika, which is essentially the shape of a spiral, seems to occupy a very primordial space in the human consciousness, along with circles, squares, and crosses.
Am I the only one who, as a child, learning to draw, just sort of intuitively doodled the symbol without knowing the historical context?
I don’t display the swastika publicly out of respect to those who still can’t disconnect it from it’s use by the Nazis, but it really seems like a bad idea, as well as eurocentric, to me, to attempt to suppress a symbol so ingrained in the collective unconscious of humanity.
