As a matter of tactic, the first step to reclaim the Swastika is appropriate labeling.
Case in point is “Pro Choice” and “Pro Life”. In this case the groups have clearly taken the initiative to define themselves and implictly the opposing camp.
I would suggest Hindus, Buddhist etc start referring to there own swastika as “The Swastika” while insist everyone refer to the hated 45 degree version version as “Nazi Swastika” only. This will point
people to probe further into this and be aware of the difference in historical use physical design (Nazi Swastika is rotated 45 degree version of The Swastika)
Many times a critical element of such opinion wars is the labelling.
Labeling tactics are important in my view..There is a ongoing struggle regarding the attempt to relabel the Nazi death camps..
Here is a example of Labeling being used as a tactic in a opinion war
The Germans did not put a bad name on the Swastika, that was done by the Jews and the Zionists after the war. The Germans where brave and tried to save Europe from the Zionists.
We will never forget the brave German soldiers in the Wehrmacht and the SS for their sacrifice.
The Swastika will be honored as a symbol of struggle against evil.
you will find that you have been missinformed,Nazi germany has been given a bad name by all the american and jewish propaganda.I suggest you look deep within the fine print and the truth shall be found. The german army served thier country with pride and honour and lets not forget those brave souls who had fallen in battle against the invasion of aliied forces.
Because the nazi’s abused the swastika, it has become a symbol of racism and hate. But there is no other culture, people, religion etc. that used the swastika for bad intentions. So search at google for “swastika” and also type “good luck” , then you will find something complete different!
Yug patel, The Swastika started it’s first appearance in India. The Swastika was mainly for the Buddhist and Hindi religions. And later bacame a world wide symbol of good luck. The Native Americans used it to symbolize the cycle of life. I don’t know if or how often the indians use the Swastika. They might have stopped using it because of the Nazis. Thanks for asking Yug Patel!
hey guys me n my friend got in 2 an argument bout who invented the swastika n who it was stolen from n me being an indian always belived its was the indians but i want to find out 4 sure who made it i realize its universal but there has 2 b some one who made it n 4 what religion? pls help me out
Thanks Petri for your excellent comment and explanation regarding swastika in Finnish airforce, and also the reason for siding with Nazis to get their land back that was taken by Soviet Union. I also agree that the Stalin dictatorship was one of the most brutal regimes this world has ever witnessed. There is a tradition in India that believes that the day Stalin mysteriously died,he was instructing his generals to launch a full military attack on India. An elevated and all knowing Guru was fully aware of Stalin’s plans and “intervened”… It is believed he actually died on 28th February, not March 5th as is officially reported. One day this mystery may be resolved…
Finland still uses swastika, in airforce flag, presidential flag of Finland and in many decorations. President also wears pendant wich has swastika in it. The mannerheim cross also had swastika on it. (mannerheim cross was given to soldiers who did something really heroic). Saying that finns are pro-nazis only because of this symbol, shows that person arent really civilized. Even though finns were in side of germany in war 1941-1944, it doesnt mean we changed our constitution. Mission then was to get our land back. You see, soviets in winter war 1939 conquered 10% of our land and second largest city (wouldnt people of US fight back, if Los Angeles was conquered?). Nazi-germany was only one that was ready to help us, so we took the help, as did allies give and take help from Soviet Union, wich was as bad or even worst dictatorship. Also, if someone has readed even a bit of history, he/she would know, that Finland is the first modern democracy, meaning that it was first time in FInland, when women were not only let to vote, but also be elected. Conclusion: Should we only get rid of this symbol, wich use is tradition, because nazis used it? My opinion is no.
