There is a great deal of misunderstanding regarding symbols in general and the swastika is perhaps one of the greatest examples. There is a misconception, however, regarding the meaning of the swastika as it pertains to the direction in which it is pointing.

Native Americans, for example, used the swastika interchangeably in both directions…. sometimes within the same design. See the following link for a photo gallery…

This is true of Asian and other cultures as well… see the following gallery slideshow for examples…

    Steiner means Rocker

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) about the fylfot, the Swastika:

Christianity took that little what it needed, into its traditions, its cult, and then it vanquished the origins of those cults. In the original cults, there were a lot of elements, with enormous meaning inside; but everything was turned around and everything was interpreted differently.

And may I just add this personal note: The swastika does not belong to any one group such as the so called Nazis; but actually spins clockwise in the center of each of our individual perceptual fields of vision, just below our own personal conscious level of awareness. Seeing it consciously, in its non subliminal form, is a matter of sensitivity. The evil that men do…

Now i get why marshal had got so irratated with those who aren’t nazi and still use swastika.Cos many times it has been posted ere that the use of this symbol by nazi was illegal.
Certainly if this symbol had been adopted by an organisation headed by hitler, there must be lying some cause underneath. And as you ( mr.T ) have explained it,its good to know what did it mean for the nazi.
Even the development in the fields of science, technology, etc in germany during that era cant be denied.
But even a small leakage in the base of a beautiful bottle can make it futile.Sameways the racist activity, extermination camps, holocaust, etc effaced everything else. and made the world to hate anything associated with the defeating side.
While it might not be truth for everything but swastika emerged out to be as that hate symbol which had to bear the brunt.
There is also problems with that section of ppl.who use this symbol. But they are prejudiced by others as if they are perpetuating racism.
Marshal your comments regarding hindus,as i feel ,was out of context here./anyone can be ignorant. You me anybody. But we cant generalise any case.Instead we should take a person as a person. And judge him/her over his/her qualities and defects.

    nazi,hindu,china,israel,america,japan,ireland,africa,

and many countries used this symble

infact hitlers swastika was not in anyway evil

and not only that it was never proven but no way as a few hundred million dead beat jews died

    A. the population in germany for jewish community was not as much as they claim who died there
    B. nazi party accepted jews in the army

    four angles of the swastika

    1.love
    2.honor
    3.respect
    4.pride

the middle of the swastika represents nationalism for anglo/european/german society to come to gether with out war or hatred .

but jews also had a swastika

and those who go online talking crap is what i hate the most!!!

88 means H.H 8th letter in the alphabet

88= somes one birthday as in 1988

approximately 505,000 people out of a total population of 67 million, or somewhat less than 0.75 percent. That number represented a reduction from the estimated 523,000 Jews living in Germany in January 1933; the decrease was due in part to emigration following the Nazi takeover in January. (An estimated 37,000 Jews emigrated from Germany during 1933.)

“I’ll tell you something. The average Indian knows very little about his religion, or India, or anything else. Some are ignorant of the most simple things, such as Hindu concepts or history. I agree with Naipaul one hundred percent. They don’t like to appear ignorant before a Westerner, but most Indians don’t know any more about their temples and writing and what-not than the tourists — many know a lot less.”

And marshal whom did you try to called mleccha? If you don’t know me,you certainly have no right.Malechha is the true word used for low ppl in sanskrit. And i’m arya. But i wasn’t liking to disclose it.But you prompted me.

  7. 674. Lisa says:

One more thing. That i have concluded on talking to you is that. You have a perception of self superiority thats vague itself. In psychological terms its called superiority complex.
Otherwise you won’t be so rude in your posts. Why do you think others here are mindless blokes ?And the only intelligence gifted one is you?Haha. Its funny itself.
And why are you taking anything so personal that you have begun insulting others? That shows your impatient impulsive behaviour.
You talked bout genetics. Then you might be knowing humans originated first in africa. So all humans are related. And race kind of taxonomic unit can’t be applied to vast populations of humans.(although it can be applicable to animals).
And if you’re so right then why did you get so irritated when i had asked you not to insult the communities? It shows your arrogance.
You thought i’m threatened by you. You’re not a ghost.Lol.So why will i be afraid.Infact i liked the idea to read books. But you should also widen your thinking to deal with the opinions of others.Ok.

  8. 673. sitaram harmalkar says:

its really feel nice 2 read n look at different ancient holy symbols n their meaning.it feels like yes history is still alive.n nothing is hidden .as they say truth cannot b hide.
i will b very please to know that is there was any viking
who had tattooed an holy swastika symbol on his body.
i know it sounds crazy but if there was i would really like 2 know.
    please reply.
    thanks.

  9. 672. Lisa says:

Hahaha.Acerbic and acidic both can be used interchangeably. And i am amazed by the way you dare to call me and others idiots.
And as per the genetics and linguistics are concerned these topics are much debated. And nothing can be concluded firmly. And as per i have seen on different sites, there are excerpts from some researches that counterquestion the amt.
As per your thinking that you’re the one with the right knowledge ,its seems funny itself. And for your kind information,no where in the vedas there is the mention of home land and invasion of foreign land.
And if i had asked you to talk not bad for others was in a polite sense.
But if you haven’t got that sense then its your fault.Ok.
Also you aren’t entitled to tell me what i’m required to do or not.Similarly you can’t tell me whats my ability to extrapolate any matter.Or i’m not here to get your certificate of intellectuality. Your racist way of thinking unravels your attitude.
And one more thing. If you ask who own the right of swastika, then my answer would be .Anyone who like it, praise it, honour it, revere it has the right to own it.Its the symbol used in the eternal religion of this world the sanatan dharma. And if marshal you want to keep your hakenkruz with yourself then thats good. But don’t engage swastika in this petty and frivolous fight.

  10. 671. me says:

U GUYS R STUPID!!! the swastika is nothin but trouble so i say burn the swastika!!!! STUPID POOP HEADS!!

  11. 670. Marshall Lentini says:

Now it seems marshal you’re getting too acidic.

That’s “acerbic”. I am not a citrus fruit.

If i’m not scholar then you’re also not.

    Logic fit for a child.

Have you yourself read the scriptures of aryans ,the vedas? Is there anywhere mentioned there that they had come from a foreign land?

Yes, the Rig Veda is full of topographical imagery whose source can only be to the north; this has been borne out by archaeological and, more importantly, genetic research (introduction of genetic sequences associates with steppe / LGM Refuge Europids). But you’re not asking for proof, really, nor would you accept any.

Or should i think that you have got the powers to peep into the past so that you can firmly say aryan migrate to and not from india?

I, myself, do not. But there are these strange men called “scientists”, who arrange themselves in evern stranger little subsets — of “linguists”, “archaeologists”, and the most arcane group of all: the “geneticists” — who are empowered to peep into and interpret the past. Sounds incredible, I realize.

Now new ideas doesn’t mean that these ideas are originated by me. It means looking at that part of a thing which most ppl deny.

Nor did I say any new ideas originated with you: you’d have to have a greater measure of intellect for that. What you do is parrot the superficial lies & rumors of thousands of others like you, because that’s what the nationalist pandits have given you to believe. Time to come out of the Cave, “Lisa”.

Next thing .we all are homo sapiens.Human beings. So there is no question about race.

There are many, but there are many more people being prompted to shut their eyes to race and chirp “there is no race here!” in unison. You’re one of them. Congratulations.

    Yeah there could be variation.

All of human “diversity”, i.e. genetic variation, smugly thrust aside with a “yeah” and a “could be”. Love it.

So by mentioning the name of any book or anything you can’t assert that you are right.

I understand that you feel threatened by confronting someone who actually knows what he’s talking about. All I can say is, you read some books too. Anyone can do it. It isn’t hard, and you learn cool things which you can then bring to bear on idiots like you used to be.

One more thing. You should not talk bad of any community.

Perhaps you should ask yourself why you feel entitled to dictate to me what I should and shouldn’t do, “Lisa”.

Do you want to support the nazi association of this symbol?

    Damn right, mleccha.

  12. 669. Sean Soboleski says:

i hope people will find a new hate symbol so they can stop using the swastica. i think that most people dont actually know what the symbol originally stands for. but then again, i dont think most people care.

  13. 668. Lisa says:

Now it seems marshal you’re getting too acidic. If i’m not scholar then you’re also not.(cos you’re aimed to prove yourself only.A person who is self centered.)
Next you think that reading books is far more important. Thanks for that suggestion. But may i ask you one thing?Have you yourself read the scriptures of aryans ,the vedas? Is there anywhere mentioned there that they had come from a foreign land?Or should i think that you have got the powers to peep into the past so that you can firmly say aryan migrate to and not from india?
Now new ideas doesn’t mean that these ideas are originated by me. It means looking at that part of a thing which most ppl deny.
Next thing .we all are homo sapiens.Human beings. So there is no question about race.Yeah there could be variation. But we all are humans. So by mentioning the name of any book or anything you can’t assert that you are right.Cos there could be research related books telling the vice versa.
One more thing. You should not talk bad of any community.Be they jews or hindu or anyone else.Otherwise it will show your narrow mindedness.

You asked bout the meaning of swastika as a lucky charm. Now get the meaning yourself. As it is derived from sanskrit it means one that lets the good happen. And we can’t judge one’s faith on scientific parameter. Ok
Now lets move on to the question of its association with nazi.Whatever might be the cause ,we all know that due their deeds this symbol has been doomed.
And what we are focussed towards is to clear that misconception.
But i’m really clueless what to infer from your posts.
Do you want to support the nazi association of this symbol?

  14. 667. Marshall Lentini says:

Given these ideas, who do you think are the chief demonizers of the Swastika?

    Stop pussyfooting. Say Jews.

  15. 666. Marshall Lentini says:

But i couldn’t understand why you called opening to new thoughts is politicised falsehood.

Because they aren’t new thoughts, but platitudinous rumors circulating on the internet among disgruntled Indians, wiccans, homosexuals, and idiots. You’re not a scholar. You’re not a philosopher. You’re not original or brilliant. You’re not entitled to speak about meaning-reassignment apart from your internet connection and ability to type in pidgin English. Yet, this is exactly what you feel. Saying you have “new thoughts” feels good, makes you feel original, “progressive”; obviously, then, it’s much more a nebulous self-congratulatory rhetoric than anything substantial about the swastika itself.

And the aryan migration theory is also not well accepted.

By pandits with a socio-political agenda, yes. Aryans migrated all over the place; you should acquaint yourself with some real scholarship in this field — to take one of many, Anthony’s “The Horse, The Wheel and Language”. It’s time to get your head out of internetland and into the books. Real ideas, real history await.

s i have studied that the aryan were the inhabitants of indian subcontinent.

Sure, India has seen many inhabitants: negritos, Mongoloids, Dravidians (Elamite or Mediterranid), various tribes and waves of Aryans, Huns, and so on. What you mean to say is: you learned from your college textbook, or some pandit / Hindutva website, that the Aryans “came from India”, not the reverse. I tell you, this is a lie. If you choose to do some real research and abandon your probably ethnic interest in believing the lie, wonderful.

Swastika is the symbol of good luck.

Not really, but it sounds pretty, and people these days care more about sounding pretty and nice than being correct.

Then why you think it would defame or alter its meaning.

Because it “symbolizes” more than what it does to Hindoos, and I question if it symbolizes anything at all to Hindoos themselves, or is rather just something to adorn flags and toilet paper roll wrapping with. It’s pointless to talk about “meaning” at that point, but obviously it “symbolized” more than “good luck” to the German irredentist movement, and the Nazi Party which took it over. If the swastika isn’t “originally” Indian, we must look for it elsewhere and ask ourselves what it “meant” to them; we find the earliest examples closest to the Celtic heartland, i.e. Bohemia, which is precisely where the Nazi Party had its origin. So who has a “right” to the swastika?

.Eagle was also a nazi symbol.Has it been abolished?

Try walking down the street in Germany with a Doppeladler on your jacket sleeve. See how far you get without trouble of some kind.

I can certainly say.many ppl who dislike it , don’t even know its history themselves.

Neither do you, nor any other history.

more about you. o and left me and my two junior brothers behind. He was a king in Ashanti land, which our town citizens titled him over
sixteen years before his death. I was a princess to him and I am the only
person who can take care of his wealth now because my junior brother is
still young and my mother is not leaned enough to know my entire father’s
wealth. He left the sum of USD 7.5m (Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand US
Dollars) in ECO BANK GHANA LTD.This money was annually paid into my late fathers account from Gold Mining Company, development company (GMCG)) and chevron oil company operating in
our locality for the compensation of youth and community development in our
jurisdiction. I don’t know how and what I will do to invest this money
somewhere in abroad, so that my father’s kindred will not take over what
belongs to my father and our family, which they were planning to do without
my present because I am a female as stated by our Ashanti culture in the
town. Now, I urgently need your humble assistance to move this money from the
security company to your bank account and I strongly believe that by the
grace of God, you will help me invest this money wisely. I am ready to pay

last for only 14( Fourteen) working days and I hope to commence the
    transaction as quick as possible,

I will send you my picture as soon as I hear from you.God bless you.

    Yours sincerely.

Hmmm.Marshal.I had read your post. But i couldn’t understand why you called opening to new thoughts is politicised falsehood. Moreover you had said that the concept of blue eyes and blonde hair as propagated by hitler wasn’t totally wrong. Now i couldn’t undertand how it could be possible. As i have studied that the aryan were the inhabitants of indian subcontinent. And the aryan migration theory is also not well accepted.
Next thing.Swastika is the symbol of good luck. And we all (admirer of this symbol) want it in its that way.Its also a good geometric figure. Then why you think it would defame or alter its meaning.
Now you had also asked about rest symbols.Eagle was also a nazi symbol.Has it been abolished?
One more thing you asked whether we are talkin bout symbol or weapons.
See that was a comparison. Can a symbol be more dangerous than a deadly weapon?Isn’t it ignorance to hate a symbol cos once it was attached with nazi?I can certainly say.many ppl who dislike it , don’t even know its history themselves.

  19. 662. August Wolfe says:

Regardless of the cultural use of the Swastika, it is ridiculous and insulting that legislators would move to ban it when the old symbol of Soviet Russia does not even come under scrutiny. The Hammer and Sickle are worn on t-shirts, adorn posters, flyers, and album covers and was even the stage back drop for alt-country artist Steve Earle on one of his tours. Russia was the consummate enemy of the U.S. and Josef Stalin was responsible for his 25 million dead. Given these ideas, who do you think are the chief demonizers of the Swastika?

  20. 661. Marshall Lentini says:

PLEASE SOLVE THE SECTION ABOUT “SYMBOLISM” IN MANY CULTURES IT WAS/IS ONLY POSITIVE,

And it was “only positive” when the Nazis used it. Your interpretation of that use is negative, though you’ve merely taken your cue from the victors of the War.
