  1. 660. European (ME _AGAIN_) says:

PLEASE SOLVE THE SECTION ABOUT “SYMBOLISM” IN MANY CULTURES IT WAS/IS ONLY POSITIVE, NEVER MIN ID IT IS COUNER OR CLOCKWISE!

  2. 659. Marshall Lentini says:

“The swastika certainly is not an Aryan Symbol. It was in use in the far east and india from about 2000BC”

And who do you think is responsible for the Vedic, and later Buddhist society which spread the symbol over the Asia, genius? The people who self-identified as “Aryans”.

See the matter is not whether its aryan symbol or anyone’s else.

When you have entire websites with people anxiously and eagerly parroting the lie that the swastika is a “universal” symbol — meaning independently created by various peoples rather than spread by cultural borrowing — and not originally Aryan / Indo-European, which it is, and by whom it was spread to other cultures, then yes, it very much is a matter of putting to rights the question of origin.

The question is about the stigma attached to it.

The stigma is “attached” by Jews and Americans. Perhaps we should worry more about detaching Jewish taboos and stigma from our minds than making the swastika idiot-friendly?

Now how could you say that its lying to reclaim it?

Because, semantically, “reclamation” alters the ideational and historical content of the symbol: you don’t want it to be Aryan, which it is, and you don’t want it to be associated with the Nazis anymore, which it is and always will be, with good reason.

Hitler used it and defamed it .

Let me say this again, though it’s rather like repeating things to children who don’t want to listen. Hitler himself did not “use” it, just like Hitler himself did not “kill six-million Jews”. The Volksdeutsch movement of Austria and German-Bohemia began using it in the late 19thC., and why shouldn’t they — the Celts, precursors of the wandering Germans, originated in Bohemia and Austria. Who has more right to the symbol them — the people who created it and have been symbolizing their will with it for at least two millennia, or you? You see it is not reclamation at all, but in fact theft. It is you all who want to “steal” and “defame” (alter the meaning of) the swastika.

a lot of other symbols were also used but is there anyone talking to ban them too?

    You can’t name any others.

Why don’t we open ourselves for new thoughts?

Because your “new thoughts” are politicized falsehoods. And some of us are smarter than that.

We all know what happened in hiroshima. But has the development of atomic bombs really been banned?

Um. We’re talking about a symbol, not weapons.

The nuclear device which took away the lives of many and made many to suffer due to radiation/but instead we aim on hating swastika!Whats a logical world !!/

Thank the Jews for it. What can I say. The Jews have created your opinion about the swastika.

And to some other fool —

“Hitler’s definition of and Aryan as blonde hair and blue eyes was misguided and should not be perpetuated.”

You need to read more books. Start with John V. Day’s Indo-European Origins: The Anthropological Evidence.

I say ‘irritates’ rather than ‘offend’ because I understand people have a right to believe whatever they want. But it irritates me because it has become such a taboo that even an open discussion is looked down upon.

Your more circumspect approach is appreciated. But there’s no need to “rehabilitate” the swastika in the West, and indeed it is impossible without first removing the manufacturers of the taboo itself — Jews.

Sorry all, this problem is much bigger than you realize.

  3. 658. Bringing Swastika back says:

I am not religious but I was born a Hindu. When I was in India Swastika was an integral part of most of the Indians daily life. Whenever swastika was mentioned or displayed people took it for its true meaning i.e. well being or good luck.
I am now residing in the US and it irritates when people relate the swastika to the Nazis. (I do not mean to single out US but it is the only other country I have ever been to).
I say ‘irritates’ rather than ‘offend’ because I understand people have a right to believe whatever they want. But it irritates me because it has become such a taboo that even an open discussion is looked down upon.
I read in some of the posts that people would like actively do something rather than just talk about it.
I have created a Facebook group called ‘Bringing Swastika Back’ http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=4947269&ref=profile#/group.php?gid=83839313754
In this group I have proposed an idea for bringing the original meaning of swastika back. Swastika nowadays is connected to the Nazis because it was the symbol used for evil. I propose that if we start using Swastika to spread goodness it might soften peoples views towards it.
If you are a member of Facebook ( I am not getting paid by facebook to promote it) and want to do something different join my group and see whats all about.

Ahh.So nasty.Candy.If you cant propose your thoughts then you shouldn’t post crap either.Your words reflected your thinking and level of intellectual.May god show you right way to behave.!

  5. 656. candy 420 says:

  7. 654. Lisa says:

    Thanks ivan :)
its you Who is empowering this quest for swastika.Keep that spirit up !!
Yeah i agree the anonymous. The notion that the aryan ppl had blue eyes and blonde hair is wrong.Infact they were the inhabitants of indian sub continental areas. And they had a distinct civilisation as well.

  8. 653. Anonymous says:

For the record, the use of the swastika in India was by the real Aryan race which occupies, and has occupied, the areas of India and Persia for a long time.

Hitler’s definition of and Aryan as blonde hair and blue eyes was misguided and should not be perpetuated.

  9. 652. Ivan says:

    Hey Lisa. Welcome back.
As usual you are the strength of the day.

  10. 651. Lisa says:

    Hey all.Back after long time.
Hmmm.Regarding the post of marshal.See the matter is not whether its aryan symbol or anyone’s else. The question is about the stigma attached to it.Now how could you say that its lying to reclaim it?Explain my dear what you want to say.Hitler used it and defamed it .So we want to abolish it.Ok. a lot of other symbols were also used but is there anyone talking to ban them too?Naah cos it would be too crazy. Then why don’t we apply the same logic for swastika? Its like being stagnant with the time of 40′s .Why don’t we open ourselves for new thoughts?

We all know what happened in hiroshima. But has the development of atomic bombs really been banned? The nuclear device which took away the lives of many and made many to suffer due to radiation/but instead we aim on hating swastika!Whats a logical world !!/

Ivan. Here you see .Nothing can come out of this discussion. In the beginning i were very optimistic but now i think.Something real and practical is required.
But i’m really happy to find ppl like you stephen adave and flea and many more who still like swastika amidst all prejudice. Thanks to you all.

  11. 650. flea the de says:

I think the swatsika should be reclaimed because it does not jus symbolizes the nazis and the harsh times it symbolizes good and to be. it actually originated in india and hitler jus gave the nazi symbol a bad name now jus because he did that now everyone thinks that it jus represents the nazi

  12. 649. Ivan says:

Exactly. Two swallows don,t make a summer

  13. 648. ADAVE says:

what if cross was used by nazi party?

  14. 647. Ivan says:

Well put Stephen and I wish you power to ovwercome the foggy ones who think you you are mad for using the Swastika. I have one on my rifle butt and some say the same thing untill I point out the true meaning. Then they don’t like it because I have at the same time made them look ignorant, but if the cap fits, wear it.

  15. 646. Ivan says:

The swastika certainly is not an Aryan Symbol. It was in use in the far east and india from about 2000BC

  16. 645. Stephen says:

the swastika is a beautiful symbol because i have one on my wall my family and freinds think im crazy but i know the truth of the symbol as a peaceful icon not a hate.

  17. 644. Ivan says:

So we are all liars are we. I don’t think so.
    What do you think Lisa?

  18. 643. Marshall Lentini says:

Like it or not, the swastika is an Aryan symbol.

It isn’t Cherokee, Papuan or Korean. It’s Celtic, Hittite, Italic, Vedic — all reflexes of the Indo-European culture which devised it. If other cultures received it, it was due to Aryan involvement in those cultures.

The Nazis used it because the irredentist folk-German movement from which they arose used it; the latter used it because the Celts, originally from a small valley in Austria not far from Hitler’s own birthplace, used it first as primitive Aryans.

You can’t efface history, but you can lie about it. “Reclaiming” is lying. Perhaps we should all reclaim our Indo-European identity — European, American, Indian and others — from the absurd guilt complex laid on us by the Jews?

  19. 642. Lisa says:

Yeah.Ivan.Now it seems it has become a place just to listen to each other’s thoughts and nothing just to do.It would be far better if the creators of this site has converted it into any social networking site.Lol.Atleast then ppl might be coming here !! :)

  20. 641. Lisa says:

From the very moment i get to this site.I wondered who is the owner of this site. And whats the purpose.Whats their motive.Just by posting thoughts we are not gonna reclaim swastika.Ground level efforts are required. But there is no mention of any group /campaign or any thing else.Who are the creators?Atleast tell bout yourselves. And why have you created this platform?
