Well as you can see from reading the posts, the swastika rightly or wrongly has been co opted by bigots and haters.
Symbols are that because they are connected to ideas. The swastika is forever connected to the worst of humanity. If you choose to display it, then don’t complain when you are regarded as such.

“I have forever loved the swastika and…. use it in my art and I believe that besides it beautiful meaning, it also brings a feeling of balance and stability….. By using it as it was intended, we are proving that the nazi failed…..!”
RESPONSE:
How does one come to “Love” a symbol? Herein lies the first error. If you are to love, at all, you love that which it stands for…if, of course you are Hindu since only the swastica is Hindu & belonging exclusively to the Hindu Peoples. All other similar forms of this symbol, are NOT Swastikas and should be handled and treated with like respect, relatively & respectively.
Using and form of this symbol as an object of “Art” is a gross mis-use thereof and subject to great calamity for such mis-use rather that that for which these sacred symbols were intended.
There is NO Balance or Stability in using another cultures symbols as mere objects of art or in using them in ways not originaly intended and using such symbols not belonging to your own ancestral traditions without the proper and necessary indoctrinations.
Well since the swastika is a spiritual symbol, I will make my comment in a spiritual context.
And share the result of the investigations of myself and others into the subject.
Hitler was seeking power and invincibility, and went to Tibet to further this. There the monks revealed to him the power of the Swastika, and how it made one invincible if used as a symbol. It would make him invincible if his army used it. So hence he did.
Its the symbol of Shri Ganesha and he is worshipped first before all others and he is invincible. From a Western point of view he is Christ in a form not incarnated.
Shri Ganesha symbolises purity, innocence, chastity memory. We have to have these qualities to gain His powers.
When His powers are awakened within us at the Mooladhara Chakra we have the powers to fight evil and drive away spirits. Evil runs.
So why did Hitler lose when using this symbol? Well he used it incorrectly and angered the Gods. The Gods in fact intended that, as he was a devil and should not be able to get the protection of Ganesha in that manner.
What mistake did he make? Considering the amount of evil people in the world and that someone like Hitler from a western tradition went to the East to gain this knowledge, Its safer not to describe how to avoid his mistake. No offence.
I think it might have been the book ‘sword of destiny’ that mentioned how Hitler went to the East prior to his rise to power.
Its amazing how many people seem to accept Hitler using the symbol but not think WHY he used it and who gave it to him.
He got it from someone “so called” high up in spiritual life in Tibet.
The result is now many see this great symbol as an evil one associated with a devil from Austria instead of a spiritual one from the East.
Hitler destroyed many people, cultures, morals and also destroyed the image of a great symbol.
He was therefore a very effective devil in the promotion of evil works.
You might say its racist to see the reaction of people to this symbol now.
Chastity and morality are out of fashion and its now illegal in come countries to use the symbol of those qualities because of the association with a devil.
Now if you dont like my plain description and the use of the word ‘devil’ . then what how can such a spiritual symbol as the swastika be of importance to you?
I have forever loved the swastika and been looked down upon for it. I use it in my art and I believe that besides it beautiful meaning, it also brings a feeling of balance and stability. I love the swastika! By using it as it was intended, we are proving that the nazi failed. Swastika forever!
I suggest to stop with believing this or that intellectual vision, since ány set of ideas can be, so called, proven by, so called, logic. The first thing to do, is – by means of some kind of healthy and spiritual discipline – to become so sensitive and receptive in ourselves as to become able to SEE and FEEL what the material and psychological effects are of the things that we open our senses to. When this sensitivity is – more or less – accomplished, we can look at some thing, or some symbol and simply KNOW what it signifies and what its effects are to the minds that contemplate its form.
If one does this kind of meditation on the symbol of the swastika …. then there will be no more differences of ‘opinions’ . Opinions are nothing more then mental constuctions and the ones who know very little are, it seems, always looking to have one or other strong opinion. (One of the reasons that politics does not work…) But i.e. the age-old yogi’s that knew how to meditate and SEE a thing in all its REALITY, they néver had differences of opinions!
All the yogi’s knéw that the swastika is an embodiment of good-luck and it can be seen rotating in the human body! So, …. do your homework and become a real knówer of things and stop with blabbering on about your so called logical and ‘well funded’ opinions! Thank you!
I agree with the comment nr 1062. I totally disagree with comment 1063 who pretends that the swastika has to be banned forever. Then we must ban the Jewish-Israel flag with the same reason because of the murdering of the Palestinians every day again and again.History is written with blood. I have seen on the Belgian TV in Panorama a reportage of the humiliatian of the Palestinians in Hebron which is Palestinian land and believe me I had to vomit of such a horror. Those Zionists are untermenschen and I hate them. I support the Palestinians more and more in their just struggle and understand their action against their occupiers. Israel steals and continue to steal Palestinian land and they pretend to be God’s people:what a shame. But I’m happy there are some humanist Jews who condemn their government’s policy. Eslam alekom…
It saddens me to say that I have been recently threatened by the college that I attend that if I wear my hair up and show my swastika I will be kicked out of school, how does this work, do I get to say I dont like crosses and everyone at school who wears a cross has to cover it or get kicked out of school, I was told this symbolizes he death of many jews but is that really what it stands for NO!!!! If you have no true understanding of what it means you should step back and read some history the swastika was around way before WWII come on. It is a symbol that is still commonly used all over the world. So if one person says it bothers them then I as a paying adult college student is threatened to loose my education give me a break.
If thousands of years of history can be ignored because of the WW2 sideshow it is a sad comment on humanity.
To those who disagree. It`s not all about you. I bet you think it is though.
I absolutely AGREE that the TRUE meaning of the particular symbol known as the “swastika” has been bastardized (can I say that?) and that reclaiming it is absolutely necessary, but seemingly rather unlikely… As I came to understand it’s TRUE meaning, I feel incredibly saddened by its misuse because the world so much needs the message behind the symbol that no other symbol can quite convey… at least none that I have found in my study of symbolic language…
I am about to start a range of handbags under my own label – with a logo that incorporates, or rather subtely features, a swastika. This forum, has shown me that I’m not alone in my views, so thanks. I don’t care that I may never be distributed in mainstream outlets but I would love to see the emblem worn proud and in an entirely positive expression. Times are changing and unity of good thought, I hope will prevail!
As a jew, I will always believe the swastika to be a Nazi symbol and thereby a symbol of evil. There can be no changing this for 99.9% of the world. it is illegal in Germany as well.
I think we have been so brainwashed ..the ELITE don’t want us free humans to be able to think for ourselves on how we see the Swastika….it should NOT BE BANNED anywhere….sorry..but seems like the Jews really got us to agree with them in their Zionist cause…sorry..but it’s true..
