Remember, Neither Germany, Hitler or his Natzis used the Swastika “for purpose of war!” Neither was the Swastika “used” “to start a war!”
HATRED motivated the war, along with whatever psychological and emotionologigal dysfunctions Hitler suffered in his childhood.
The SWASTIKA was never used “as a SYMBOL of WAR!” It was used as the Symbol of the Nazi Party in Germany.

When the Hopi came up out of now Mexico, they moved in 4 (Swastika Shaped) directions.

I did a lot of research about the swastika symbol and found it was used as a religous symbol same as the cross many centuries before Hitler decided to add it to his madness. It is a “symbol” used by many religions. How can a “design” get to be banned? Just because a group of people used it how can you take a figure/design and ban it? It shows up in celtic art, repeated design borders and everything. Would we ban a “swirl” if someone decised to give some terrible meaning to swirls? What about a clover leaf? Do we care who uses other symbols? Yes, I know the history that got it to where we are today, but isn’t banning it a continuation of the hate…oh, yes, now let us hate the swastika.
I recently had a repeating swastica design tattooed on my leg. As a repeating pattern, it is in a lot of art. The pattern for the tattoo was taken from Budist art. I am in no way making any statement by my tattoo other than I like the art. I prefer to think of it as the original religious symbols – eternity, well being, good luck. Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.
